Hitler's Henchman as they were called. Also known as Sturm Troopers or Storm Troopers. Heinrich Himmler was the SS Reichsfuhrer. He was second in command, Hitler was in first. Himmler was in charge of Eastern death camps. In 1929 Himmler was given a leadership position, to be leader of the SS. He believed he had to follow Hitler's orders. He was responsible for the plan to kill Jews in Europe. He killed himself by biting a piece of cyanide in his mouth after being captured by allied forces. He is somewhere buried in Luneburg forrest. Reinhard Heydrich is another SS member. He was one of the most cruel and horrific SS men. Heydrich and his boss Himmler were both master planners and leaders of the Final Solution. In 1942 in Prague, Heydrich was assassinated. Another SS man is Adolf Eichmann who was also one horrific man. He was responsible for millions of Jewish deaths. Eichmann was overseer of the deportation of concentration camps such as Auschwitz, Chelmno, Treblinka, Sobibor and Belzec. Israeli agents had finally captured one of the most evil henchman in 1960. He was charged with crimes related to humanity and cruelity. And was executed in Ramleh Prison. Other SS men include: Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Rudolf Hoess, Josef Mengele, Alois Brunner and Klaus Barbie
